Fusion Weekly Rundown

It’s Friday again already? Party!

But first, let’s review this week in stuff:

Digital Stuff

Kim Kardashian created an app (ok, not Kim personally, but you know what I mean). It is addicting. Really, really addicting. I had it myself for a while but deleted it because I knew it was going to be too addicting and I wasn’t ready for the commitment. Everyone is playing it, and I mean everyone. It’s currently the top free app download on iTunes. It is consuming lives and bank accounts everywhere. Say what you will about her, but Kim Kardashian is obviously not an idiot. The free app is set to rake in $200 million this year. #Crazy.

Fashion Stuff

Banana Republic has released a collection for the “Startup Guy”. Maybe they just haven’t seen very many real startup guys. Or perhaps this is their way of gently encouraging Silicon Valley to part with it’s hoodies and dress like “grownups”. Either way, lame.

Branding Stuff

Airbnb’s logo update continues to inspire and amuse the Internet. This week Foursquare stepped into the ring, revealing it’s own new look. The logo change is a huge improvement and pretty uncontroversial, but the decision to split the app up into two entities (Foursquare and Swarm) has gotten mixed reviews, mostly from annoyed Mayors of donut shops the world over. Detractors aside, the app isn’t exactly relevant these days, so it seems like a good move.

Fusion Stuff

Speaking of moves: the fear of death by sitting has gripped the nation, and Fusion is no exception. We’ve got standing desk fever. And by that mean I think we have about 3 or 4 standing desks in the office now. But honestly, it does look pretty enticing.

Look how excited Nick is to be standing.

My vote, however, is to replace all desk chairs with these things. So beautiful.
