Happy Friday everyone! Who’s pumped for the three-day weekend? I know I am. But first, there’s one piece of business to attend to:

Fusion is looking for an application developer!

Our digital team is pretty awesome; so if you’ve got the experience, the skills, and are also pretty awesome (or know someone who is) hit us up!

Email our HR department at for more details!

You know you want to.

Okay, on to the blogging…

News broke this week that shook the globe. I personally will never look at anything the same. Hello Kitty is revealed to be NOT A CAT.

Everything in the world is a lie.

But seriously, this is something I don’t understand. Why does a human girl have cat ears and whiskers? That seems suspect. But then again, who am I to judge?

A totally reasonable and understandable reaction

In another piece of equally disturbing news (if you’re Canadian), Burger King is buying Canadian coffee chain Tim Horton’s. Canadian citizens are mildly unpleased about this.

So Canadian

Someone who IS very pleased this week would have to Evan Spiegel, co-founder and CEO of Snapchat, which was just valued at $10 billion. Many have viewed Snapchat with caution; it was assumed to be a flash-in-the-pan, unable to compete with the major players: Facebook and Twitter. But a recent study showed that a whopping 70% of college students upload to Snapchat every day. I think it’s time to start working on your Snapchat strategy…

You are now armed with enough earth-shattering factoids to get you through your various Labor Day weekend social gatherings. Have a good one.
